If there is one supplement I love to hate – it’s KetoForce by KetoSports. While your body slowly transitions from burning glycogen for fuel instead to ketones – having KetoForce handy is a must for smooth sailing. I tried it during my first ever 3 day fast and I had no headaches or hunger pangs. My mind was humming and felt focused.
So, what the fuck is a ketone? You can learn about it here and here (from someone far more qualified). Imagine your body burning ketones for fuel like a Tesla Model S 100D using electricity to move. Ketones are clean, good for your body/mind, and can accelerate 0 – 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.
Looking at the bottle, it reads “Sodium & Potassium Beta Hydroxybutyrate” – which means nothing to me. Upon further investigation, Beta Hydroxybutyrate (aka BHB) is just a ketone body – fuel for your nice, electric Tesla. This all makes sense because I just realized that KetoForce is considered an exogenous ketone supplement. Clearly my brain has been burning sugar for too long.
After consuming these exogenous ketones for a few days, there are definite benefits. I feared I was going to feel intense hunger when starving myself for 3 days, but whenever I felt hunger pangs I just consumed 3 capfuls of KetoForce mixed with some water and a few drops of lime juice. I did this up to 3 times a day. Moments after I gulped it down, the hunger would disappear.
The increased mental performance I felt after consuming KetoForce was powerful. I felt laser focused and work flowed more naturally. I felt like the Buddha – mistaking a state of ketosis for nirvana. Everything clicked. I feared during my fast my senses would be dulled and I would feel numb, barely able to crawl out of bed. I was wrong. I felt pretty much normal, but with increased energy. A strange side affect was my heightened sense of smell – I can only describe it as super powerful. I spent a good portion of my time pacing around my apartment sniffing things. Weird. Nonetheless, I felt a boost in cognitive performance.
But wait, there’s a catch. There’s always a catch. I loathed taking KetoForce and had to force myself to chug it. It was like forcing a kid to eat his vegetables at the dinner table. The taste is terrible and still haunts me days later. I would rather drink the water in my toilet after hosting a Super Bowl party – it’s that bad. I still drank it like a champ – a minor negative for an otherwise amazing product.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product for the appetite suppression and mental performance aspects. I’m interested in testing other products by KetoSports along with other exogenous ketone products; so if you have any suggestions, please share.
